RME Invests in the Long-Term Support

Albertans can support the Museum by attending the inaugural Black Tie Bingo Fundraising Event on June 22

Calgary, AB (April 4, 2019) A landmark for vintage tractor collectors from all over the world, the Canadian Tractor Museum is receiving a boost to keep this non-profit’s operations running smoothly. Through a major donation and help initializing a premier fundraising event, Rocky Mountain Equipment (RME) is stepping up to support the museum’s goal of connecting Canadians to the evolution of farm equipment.

RME has committed a $50,000 donation to the museum over the next five years. In addition, RME will provide $5,000 annually for the next three years to help the museum continue to host fundraising events like Black Tie Bingo.

We feel that the Canadian Tractor Museum provides a direct tie to the Ag equipment business and RME’s heritage. By helping create the Black Tie Bingo event, the museum’s first-ever fundraiser, they will have the ground work  laid for necessary resources to carry on their legacy and keep the museum viable over the long-term,” said Jim Wood, Chief Sales and Operating Officer for Rocky Mountain Equipment, as well as MC for the fundraiser.

To be held June 22 at the Memorial Hall in Westlock, home of the Canadian Tractor Museum, guests will experience an upscale evening of food and drinks, an auction, bingo, live music and dancing, plus the chance to win major prizes. All proceeds raised at the Black Tie Bingo will support the Museum’s mission to keep Alberta’s rich agricultural and equipment history alive for future generations.

“Agricultural methods are changing at such a rapid pace, it’s more important than ever for us to preserve the history of how we got to where are today. The team at RME fully supports the Canadian Tractor Museum’s goal of growing its collection to help educate the next generation on our proud history of equipment innovation,” said Wood.

Opened in 2002, the Canadian Tractor Museum honours Alberta’s farming history with more than 90 uniquely restored tractors, 30 stationary engines, and hundreds of toy tractors for kids. With a continually growing collection, there’s always something new for visitors to experience.

Tickets are available online on the Canadian Tractor Museum’s Facebook page, or can be purchased directly at the museum and the Westlock RME Branch.
