RegisterTravis Gerla serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Rocky Mountain Equipment (RME), where he brings nearly two decades of financial and strategic leadership to the company. His role extends beyond simply “managing the money”; Travis prides himself on being a partner to the RME team, helping them achieve results that ultimately support customer success.
Travis began his journey with RME in 2007 as Controller, and his dedication and expertise have been pivotal to the company’s growth. Over the years, he has held progressively senior roles, including General Manager of Business Intelligence and Director of Finance, before being appointed CFO in 2025. Throughout his tenure, Travis has played a key role in shaping RME into one of Canada’s leading providers of new and used equipment, parts, service, and technology solutions for producers across the Prairies.
While his focus has been on finance and strategy, Travis has had the privilege of supporting the agriculture and construction industries from behind the scenes. Working alongside teams that serve farmers, ranchers and various trades daily has given him a deep appreciation for the resilience, innovation, and values that define the communities in which we serve.
Prior to joining RME, Travis held various cost accounting and production management positions at Saputo Inc. and Gienow Building Products. He earned his Bachelor of Management in Accounting from the University of Lethbridge in 1996 and obtained his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 2003.
Outside of work, Travis enjoys traveling, taking trips to watch Major League Baseball games, and tackling DIY projects around his home.
