Combined with three selectable work modes (Auto, Heavy and Speed Priority), fuel-saving features such as One-Touch idle, Auto-Idle and Auto-Shutdown, and a Tier 4 Final solution that allows for maximum engine power, the CX500D works quickly without sacrificing fuel economy. More productivity-boosting standard features include rearview and side-view cameras, 10 programmable attachment presets and Free Swing for improved craning and placement.
Common-Sense Fuel Efficiency
To meet emission regulations, the CX500D ME has a reengineered Tier 4 Final solution with SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction). With no DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), there is no additional filter maintenance necessary and no fuel-burning regeneration or associated temperature spikes. As an after-treatment solution, SCR allows for full throttle response throughout the work cycle while still delivering excellent fuel efficiency. Operators only need to add DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) at fill-up.
CASE Comfort & Visibility
D Series full size excavators come standard with spacious, industry-leading comfort. A pressurized cab and viscous mounts reduce noise and vibration. The adjustable heated air-suspension seat, armrests and control consoles allow the operator to customize their workstation for greater comfort. Floor-to-ceiling safety glass and a standard 7-inch LCD monitor with rearview and side-view cameras provide excellent visibility. An optional Max View display includes an additional side camera, providing a 270-degree aerial view around the machine. The monitor also provides real-time performance data, fuel usage reports and more. Other comforts include automatic climate control, hands-free Bluetooth radio and a joystick trigger mute.
Simple Serviceability
CASE makes it easy to maintain the CX500D ME and maximize its life. Standard oil sample ports allow for quick contaminant checks, grouped service points speed up daily maintenance and removable debris screens help protect coolers from work-halting clogs. Plus, with the included protection of ProCare, owners benefit from a 3-yr/2,000-hr planned maintenance package.
