Olds College of Agriculture & Technology is proud to announce RME as its 2024 Partner of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding contributions to the college and the agriculture industry. The announcement was made today as part of AgSmart, Olds College’s annual educational expo.
RME, formerly known as Rocky Mountain Equipment, has demonstrated exceptional commitment to supporting Olds College’s mission of educating and inspiring future leaders in agriculture and technology. Through their partnership, RME has made significant contributions in that they reliably provide equipment for students who are provided with the opportunity to be hands-on with the latest machinery and technology in the agriculture industry. The research side of Olds College also benefits by having access to this equipment, making the work of the farm staff and researchers more manageable as they work the 3,000 acres that make up the Olds College Smart Farm.
In addition to equipment and engagement in the shop and in the classroom, RME also provides student scholarships.
“We are thrilled to honor RME as our 2024 Partner of the Year,” said Todd Ormann, Vice President of Development at Olds College. “Their dedication to our students and to collaboration in a variety of projects is notable. They have had a profound impact on our students, faculty and the broader agricultural community.”
“RME is pleased to be named the Olds College Partner of the Year,” commented RME CSOO, Jim Wood. “Through our donation of equipment and scholarships, our goal has always been to help Olds College in any way possible to educate the future ag and construction industry leaders.”
AgSmart, hosted by Olds College, brings together producers, industry experts, and researchers to showcase the latest advancements in agricultural technology. The event provides an ideal platform to recognize RME’s achievements and celebrate their partnership with the college.
