RME Community Investment
May 2, 2018

Because the needs and priorities of any community are best determined by those who live and work within it, Rocky Mountain Equipment’s (RME’s) branch staff members play a large role in implementing RME’s community investment program. Through this program, the company donates over $250,000 a year to local causes and organizations, ranging from local 4-H chapters to community bonspiels and skating arenas.

Recently, the RME Kindersley, Saskatchewan branch presented the Mayor of Kindersley, Rod Perkins, with a donation of $50,000 that will go towards the construction of a new indoor aquatic centre in the town of Kindersley and in support of the local Fill the Pool Campaign.

“We work hard to be good neighbours in the communities where we live and work, and this is part of how we do that,” said Doug Irwin, Regional Parts Sales Manager for Alberta Central, who calls Kindersley home.  “This pool is an important enhancement to the community, and it will benefit people of all ages for decades to come. We saw this as a great project and we knew that the dollars were needed to make it a reality. We really wanted to help.”

When construction of the pool is completed in the fall of 2018, it will provide a positive opportunity for thousands of people who live in Kindersley and the surrounding area.  It will be a place to gather, play, and socialize with friends and family, while keeping active.

RME’s donation will be made over the course of five years, with equal payments of $10,000 in each year.
