The Canadian Tractor Museum
Honour the past, embrace the future. This is the sentiment behind RME’s most recent Community Investment initiative with the Canadian Tractor Museum, a world-class antique tractor museum in Westlock, AB. In order to help preserve Canada’s agricultural heritage, RME committed a $50,000 donation to the museum over the next five years.
The museum showcases more than 90 restored tractors, 30 stationary engines, hundreds of toy tractors and implements, and other unique artifacts. The 20,000-square-foot site proudly shows the evolution of tractors, and allows collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world to experience these remarkable displays.
In addition to the sponsorship funding, RME will also provide $5,000 annually for three years to help the museum implement a sustainable annual fundraising event, Black Tie Bingo. The premier event was held in late June 2019 at the Westlock Memorial Hall, and guests experienced an upscale evening of dinner, live auction and bingo, entertainment, plus the chance to win major prizes.
“All funds raised at Black Tie Bingo, the museum’s first-ever fundraiser, helped to
lay the groundwork to provide the resources necessary to carry on their legacy and keep the museum viable over the longterm,” said Jim Wood, Chief Sales and Operating Officer, Rocky Mountain Equipment.
Investment from RME ensures that each person who visits the museum will have a memorable and educational experience, feel connected to the evolution of farm equipment both new and old, and have a renewed appreciation for agriculture in Canada. Plan a trip to see it yourself!
